We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Dual General Manager to oversee the daily operations of two properties, as well as provide strategic directions for the property. You will plan and supervise the activities of an extensive and diverse workforce to ensure smooth and profitable operation in Deadwood, South Dakota.
This role is critical to driving the financial success of the entire operation, encompassing all key areas such as hotel management, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, front office, and guest services. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, recognized by the trust and loyalty of their team. Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Executive Team to develop and implement operational best practices, policies, programs, and innovative ideas. Creative thinking is essential.
• Provide clear, consistent written and verbal communication to your team and across the property to ensure alignment and understanding.
• Champion Service Excellence by acting as the Head Coach, guiding your team and leading by example to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

• Supervise and support all departments, including reception, kitchen, housekeeping, and administration. Set clear objectives and hold teams accountable for achieving them.
• Strategically plan activities and allocate responsibilities to create the most efficient operational structure.
• Manage budgets and expenses, analyze financial data, and monitor sales and profits to ensure consistent business growth.
• Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to promote the hotel’s services and attract new customers.
• Interact directly with customers, welcoming them, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and providing valuable information to enhance their experience.
• Oversee property maintenance, address staffing or equipment shortages, and manage renovations to maintain smooth operations.
• Collaborate with external partners, such as suppliers, travel agencies, and event planners, to enhance service delivery and expand opportunities.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as Hotel Manager or relevant role
• Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
• Working knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of hotel management software is an advantage
• Excellent guest service skills
• A business mindset
• Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• Reliable with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Outstanding leadership skills and great attention to detail
• Degree in Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management or relevant field preferred
