About the Role


This Group Sales Manager role is built for someone who gets energized by proactive selling, not just managing inbound leads. You’ll be responsible for generating group room revenue across Corporate, SMERF, and Association markets. From initial outreach to post-stay follow-up, you’ll own the process and deliver tailored, seamless group experiences.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Proactively generate new business through outbound calls, networking, events, and lead platforms like CVENT
  • Manage and qualify inbound inquiries, ensuring strong alignment with the resort’s offerings and goals
  • Craft tailored proposals and negotiate group contracts that balance client needs and profitability
  • Lead site inspections with a strategic focus on closing the deal
  • Maintain accurate records in Delphi, from leads and communications to final billing
  • Build detailed BEOs, ensuring all departments are aligned and every group detail is covered
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Reservations, F&B, Housekeeping, and Front Desk
  • Monitor room blocks, cut-off dates, and attrition, minimizing revenue leakage
  • Oversee billing and payment timelines, ensuring clean collections in partnership with accounting
  • Represent the resort at trade shows and industry events, building long-term partnerships and brand visibility
  • Deliver top-tier service from first contact through post-event follow-up, building loyalty and repeat business


What You Bring


  • Minimum 2 years of hotel group sales experience, ideally across Corporate, SMERF, or Association segments
  • Strong knowledge of group contracts, room block strategy, and hotel operations
  • Proficiency in Delphi or similar CRM platforms
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Professional presence with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a high-velocity setting
  • A hunter’s mentality with a service-driven approach
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows or events and work flexible hours based on group demands
