Job Title: Executive Chef
Location: Cape Cod (Upper Cape), Massachusetts
Gecko Hospitality is partnering with a private yacht club located in the scenic area of Cape Cod (Upper Cape), Massachusetts. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to helm our newly renovated kitchen at this prestigious club. The role is designed to enhance the club's culinary reputation by delivering exquisite dishes that blend contemporary techniques with traditional Cape Cod flavors, meeting the sophisticated expectations of our members with every meal.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full spectrum of kitchen operations, from staffing and hiring to maintaining strict hygiene standards.
- Develop exceptional menu offerings that utilize seasonal, fresh ingredients aligned with classic culinary preparations, and modify monthly.
- Lead and mentor a dynamic team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manage food-related ordering, inventory, and budgeting, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation regulations are rigorously followed.
- Collaborate closely with Front of House staff to provide seamless service experiences and coordinate special member events.
- Engage in creating memorable dining experiences, including themed member events and holiday celebrations.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive prior experience as an Executive Chef, or a minimum of three years as a successful Sous Chef in upscale, high-paced environments.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in building highly functional culinary teams.
- Expertise in menu development and cost management, with a strong track record in the hospitality sector.
- Compliance with Serve Safe and Allergens certifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of accounting practices.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in private clubs or high-end dining establishments is highly desirable.
