A prestigious private membership organization in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of high-touch, member-facing events. This role offers the chance to work in a refined, tradition-focused environment known for discretion, service excellence, and a vibrant calendar of social, cultural, and professional programming.


The Events Manager will take ownership of events from concept to completion — including private dinners, speaking engagements, and formal receptions — while also supporting broader club operations as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, logistics, and execution of all internal and member-hosted events
  • Coordinate with in-house departments and external vendors to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and on-site execution
  • Oversee event collateral: menus, place cards, signage, and branded items
  • Provide white-glove service to members hosting private functions
  • Supervise event setup and breakdown in accordance with club standards
  • Maintain an internal event calendar and ensure cross-departmental alignment
  • Support additional departments as needed to maintain smooth club operations


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3–5 years of experience in event management within a luxury, private club, or high-end hospitality setting
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a polished sense of guest experience
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Professional and articulate communicator
  • Team-oriented with a hands-on, “no task too small” mindset
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva or Adobe Suite is a plus
