Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of a fast-paced kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and strong leadership skills. As Kitchen Manager, you will ensure the highest quality of food is consistently delivered while maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality.
  • Maintain inventory levels and ensure stock is properly ordered, rotated, and stored.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of supplies.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are met and enforced, adhering to local regulations.
  • Monitor food waste and implement strategies for minimizing it.
  • Manage scheduling for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and communication.
  • Assist with menu planning, including creating new dishes, updating existing offerings, and ensuring food costs are within budget.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as inventory reports, staff performance reviews, and ordering supplies.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure it is well-maintained and properly functioning.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager or in a similar culinary leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a hot, busy kitchen environment.
